We had a really nice, low-key Christmas this year. It would have been really nice to be near our families, but we had a great time, just the four of us.

Here’s a little of what we did:

On Christmas Eve, we ate a fancy dinner, went to look at Christmas lights around the neighborhood, then came home to eat this flaky goodness. It was my first time making this particular recipe, and it was FABULOUS! I think we have a pumpkin pie fave in our house. HERE‘s the recipe if you would like it.

On Christmas morning, we came downstairs to see that Santa made an extra special delivery this year.

We opened lots of fun presents (Thank you to everyone for the toys and books; we love them all!).

We loved it all so much we just had to taste it.

After lunch and naps, we went outside for a little stroll in the chilly, but not bitter cold (as some people around here call it) 45 degree weather. Miles is still trying to learn how to steer his new set of wheels, but is thoroughly enjoying his new “rental car”, as he calls it. (Thank you, Santa!)

Carter decided he had already seen enough excitement for the day, so he hid.

We hope everyone had as wonderful of a Christmas as we did!
